The AAP has several Policy Statements and Clinical Reports in which are found guidelines designed to help with management of several
Genetic conditions including: Neurofibromatosis, Achondroplasia, Turner Syndrome, Sickle Cell Disease, and Down Syndrome. Using the
search feature from the Policy Statements tab, enter the words, "Health Supervision" in the Title box. In the Keywords
box enter the name of the condition of interest.

The AAP's revised recommendations for well child care were released at the AAP National Conference and Exhibition and
are now available at Practice Management Online. Recommendations for Preventive Pediatric Health Care
The AAP Bright Futures Web site has been Updated for the 3rd edition, including free access to the Guidelines posted by chapter and

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently announced the availability of a CD-ROM, "Autism--
Caring for Children with Autism
Spectrum Disorders: A Resource Toolkit for Clinicians." A multifaceted clinical resource, the toolkit has the following practice tools and resources:
(1) identification, (2) referrals, (3) physician fact sheets, and (4) family handouts.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with an expert work group and professional medical, sports,
and voluntary organizations has recently updated and revised a "Heads Up: Brain Injury in Your Practice" tool kit for physicians.
Tested tools and practice strategies recommended by Medical Home Teams both nationally and here in Wisconsin. The Toolkit represents recommendations
of the National Medical Home Learning Collaborative. Among other things, The Toolkit includes sample care plans and medical summaries, appointment
scripts and coding charts.
