Office of the Commissioner of Insurance
The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) is vested with broad powers to ensure that the insurance industry responsibly and adequately met the insurance needs of Wisconsin citizens. Wisconsin statute authorizes the Commissioner of Insurance to create advisory councils and committees to assist in dealing with regulatory problems. Among these councils is the Health Advisory Council which advises the Commissioner on regulatory matters in the areas of health insurance.
